Apparently Facebook is beginning to roll out Facebook Places—their new location-based service that allows anyone to check themselves, and any of their friends, into anywhere. Sound familiar? Yeah, it’s Facebook Foursquare. But, competition is good for the consumer. I couldn’t care less that they want a piece of the Foursquare chalk. What I do find interesting, however, is the logo they created for it:


Pictured here is what happens now when friends comment on other people’s statuses.
Instead of just alerting you that “Rocky Balboa (black) commented on Mr. Bogangles’ (red) status”, Mr. Bogangles’ status is now posted into your news feed as well.
If you happen to be friends with Rocky Balboa, and not Mr. Bogangles, but Mr. Bogangles’ status still gets posted to your news feed, it opens up another loop hole that breaks through what little privacy is left on Facebook.
